Plain English recommendation
Government should: (a) Update and implement the UK-wide ‘Working Together, Achieving More’ strategy (2009) to include all rights in the CRC. (b) Develop action plans to put the ‘Working Together, Achieving More’ strategy into practice in England and Northern Ireland. (d) Implement the ‘Programme for Children and Young People’ (2015) in Wales.
Original UN recommendation
The Committee recommends that the State party: (a) Revise the United Kingdom-wide strategy entitled Working Together, Achieving More (2009) to cover all areas of the Convention and ensure its full implementation; (b) Adopt comprehensive action plans for the implementation of the above-mentioned strategy in England and Northern Ireland; (c) In Scotland, ensure the full implementation of the action plan entitled Do the Right Thing (2009) and the National Action Plan for Human Rights (2013-2017); (d) In Wales, ensure the full implementation of the Programme for Children and Young People (2015).
