Government should:
Widely share the ICCPR and its Second Optional Protocol which aims to abolish the death penalty. It should also share its eighth periodic report and these concluding observations. This will raise awareness of ICCPR rights among the UK’s judicial, legislative, and administrative authorities, civil society, NGOs, and the public, including in the Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories.

The State party should widely disseminate the Covenant, the Second Optional Protocol thereto, aiming at the abolition of the death penalty, its eighth periodic report and the present concluding observations, with a view to raising awareness of the rights enshrined in the Covenant among the judicial, legislative and administrative authorities, civil society and non-governmental organizations operating throughout the United Kingdom, the Crown dependencies and overseas territories, and the general public.
