Check on UK Government progress

This page provides an overview of the UK Government’s progress in meeting its international human rights obligations since the last round of UN reviews in 2016. We have conducted a detailed assessment of 36 different topics where the UN has recommended that the UK should take action to improve people’s enjoyment of human rights, focused on 2016 onwards. We have assigned a progress status for each topic, taking into consideration the context both before and during the coronavirus pandemic.
