Government should: Increase the availability of high-quality data disaggregated by: income, sex, age, gender, race, ethnic origin, migrant, asylum-seeking and refugee status, disability and geographic location. Use the tools developed by the Washington Group on Disability Statistics for the collection of disability statistics.
Original UN recommendation
The Committee recommends that the State party, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 17, significantly increase the availability of high-quality, timely and reliable data disaggregated by, among others, income, sex, age, gender, race, ethnic origin, migratory, asylum-seeking and refugee status, disability, geographic location and other characteristics relevant in national contexts, including in all general population surveys and censuses. It also recommends that the State party use the sets of questions and tools developed by the Washington Group on Disability Statistics for the collection of comparable disability statistics.
