Dylai’r llywodraeth:
(a) Sicrhau bod gofal plant fforddiadwy a hygyrch ar gael ar draws y Deyrnas Unedig, yn arbennig yng Ngogledd Iwerddon;
(b) Ystyried diddymu’r gofyniad i gyflogeion weithio 26 wythnos cyn bod ganddynt hawl i drefniadau gwaith hyblyg;
(c) Annog dynion i gymryd absenoldeb rhieniol, megis cynnig absenoldeb penodol ar gyfer tadau, ac annog dynion i rannu’r cyfrifoldeb o ofalu am eu plant yn gyfartal.
Original UN recommendation
The Committee recommends that the State party:
(a) Ensure the availability of affordable and accessible childcare facilities and/or arrangements throughout the State party, in particular Northern Ireland.
(b) Consider removing the 26-week waiting period for employees to apply for flexible working arrangements.
(c) Provide further incentives for men to take parental leave, such as non-transferrable leave, and encourage men to participate equally in childcare responsibilities.
