Dylai’r llywodraeth: (a) Sicrhau bod y gyfraith yn darparu ar gyfer ysgariad ‘heb fai’ ac yn cyflwyno gofyniad bod pob priodas grefyddol, yn cynnwys priodasau Islamaidd, yn cael eu cofrestru gyda’r awdurdod sifil priodol; (b) Gymryd camau pellach i drechu priodas dan orfod, yn cynnwys gwella ymwybyddiaeth ymysg rhieni bod yn rhai i’w merch cydsynio’n llawn a rhydd i’w phriodas (yn unol â chyngor a gyhoeddwyd gan y CU ar briodas dan orfod), ac ystyried lleihau’r costau mae dioddefwyr sydd wedi eu cludo dramor ar gyfer priodas dan orfod ac eisiau dychwelyd i’r Deyrnas Unedig yn wynebu.


Original UN recommendation

The Committee recommends that the State party: (a) Ensure that the new legal requirements for divorce provide for “no-fault” divorce and introduce an obligation for the celebrant of religious marriages, including Islamic marriages, to civilly register such marriages. (b) Strengthen efforts to combat forced marriages, including by sensitizing parents on the need for full and free consent of their daughter to her marriage in line with article 16, paragraph 1 (b) and the Committee’s general recommendation No. 21 (1994) on equality in marriage and family relations, and consider alleviating costs for repatriation of victims.
