Argymhelliad Cymreig clir
Dylai’r llywodraeth: Adolygu ei gymalau cadw i erthyglau 10 (ar wahanu rhai dan 18 wrth eu cadw oddi wrth oedolion), 14 (ar gymorth cyfreithiol am ddim) a 24 (ar hawl plant i gaffael cenedligrwydd y Deyrnas Unedig) yr ICCPR ac ystyried eu dileu. Ystyried cadarnhau Protocol Dewisol yr ICCPR sy’n caniatáu i bobl gwyno i’r Cenhedloedd Unedig os ydynt yn credu y tramgwyddwyd ar eu hawliau.
Argymhelliad gwreiddiol y CU
The Committee reiterates its recommendation (see CCPR/C/GBR/CO/6, para. 7) that the State party review its remaining reservations to articles 10, 14 and 24 of the Covenant with a view to withdrawing them. The State party is urged to reconsider its position regarding accession to the Optional Protocol to the Covenant, which provides for an individual complaint mechanism, with a view to strengthening the protection of Covenant rights domestically and internationally.
